Bill formed Cox Capital Management in 1997 and has more than 35 years in the investment management industry including institutional and management positions with Royal Bank of Canada, CIBC Wood Gundy, and Drexel Burnham & Lambert. He was also partner in a Boston-based investment firm that managed more than $450 million for foundations, pension funds, a California municipality and high net-worth individuals. Bill is responsible for all research and structures all investment portfolios.
Bill has a BS in Management from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and an MBA from Northeastern University. He has served on the Board of Directors for First Federal Savings Bank of Boston and has taught multiple college-level finance, fixed income management and other investment courses at the New England College of Finance. He lives in Andover with his wife and two children.
Ethan Brown joined Cox Capital in January 2015 and assists in equity research, portfolio management and trading. A Registered Investment Adviser, Ethan has a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, where he was a recipient of the Gary Muccia Outstanding MBA Student Award. He is a former professional triathlete, winning two National Titles and competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials. Ethan is also a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and is currently a Level III CFA Candidate (June 2018). Finally, Ethan serves on the Greater Lowell Community Foundation Distribution Committee.
Roland has been in the financial industry for more than 35 years. As a Certified Financial Planning professional, Roland helps our clients prepare for the future by developing personal wealth management plans for the future. Roland has extensive mutual fund screening experience and is responsible for mutual fund modeling, asset allocation and security selection. Prior to joining Cox Capital Management in 2007, he spent 16 years at Fidelity Investments advising non-profit organizations in endowment, non-endowment and life income gift portfolios. Roland's other previous employers include Interactive Data/Chase Econometrics and Quotron Systems.
Tunde is a finance professor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and joined Cox Capital's investment committee in 2018. Originally from Hungary, Tunde holds an MBA from Corvinus University in Budapest, Hungary, and a PhD in Finance from Virginia Tech University. Further, she has been a recipient of Excellence for Teaching Awards at both UMass Lowell and Northeastern University. Tunde has nearly a dozen publications outstanding on topics ranging from the effects of analyst recommendations to the phenomenon of post-earnings drift in stock prices. She brings a great analytical skillset and a strong fundamental knowledge of finance to the Cox Capital investment team.
Lydia joined Cox Capital in January 2014. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at St. Lawrence University. She has experience in Federal and State regulatory compliance work and in Federal tax compliance. She worked as an analyst for a large northeast energy company for 15 years and as a regulator at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission two years prior. Before joining Cox Capital, she worked as a Tax Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service for three years. Finally, Lydia is also a Certified Financial Planning Professional.
